Like the smaller Automower® 430X NERA, it has radar object detection and can be installed with a physical boundary wire or, with the EPOS Plug-in, wire free with virtual boundaries. The difference is a bigger battery and much more ground covered.

Why the Automower® 450X NERA suits large lawns
More battery, more grass per charge
The 7,5 Ah battery gives a typical 145 minutes of mowing per charge, and with a 7 A charging current it is back to work after about 40 minutes on the station. Monthly energy use at maximum use is 18 kWh, according to Husqvarna.
Steers around obstacles
Radar sensors help the mower detect and avoid objects, reducing the risk of impact and unplanned stops. That helps on a big property with trees, beds and outdoor furniture spread across the lawn.
Several areas, one mower
Large lawns are rarely one simple shape. Zone Control lets you create work areas with different settings and temporary stay-out zones. Secondary Area handles a separate lawn with no connecting passage. Profiles store different schedules and settings for different seasons or locations.
Security for a mower that lives outdoors
GPS theft tracking shows the mower’s position, GeoFence notifies you in the app if it is moved outside its area, and a PIN code and alarm protect it further. Connectivity covers cellular as well as Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi, for control through the Automower® Connect app.
Lawn care details
The cutting height is set electrically in the app between 20 and 60 mm. TargetHeight brings the lawn down gradually over 10 days, spiral cutting evens out longer patches, Smart Routines can park the mower during rain or frost, and Rewilding Mode leaves 10% of the lawn unmown.
