Gardena SILENO life 750 Robotic Lawn Mower

Gardena SILENO life 750 robotic lawn mower, grey and teal

Medium-sized family lawns are where Gardena’s range moves up from the minimo to the Gardena SILENO life 750. It is rated for up to 750 m², cuts a wider path than the minimo, and copes with steeper ground, up to 35% inside the mowing area.

It works inside a boundary wire and sets up through the GARDENA Bluetooth® App. Unlike the minimo, it also has its own display and control panel, so you can change settings at the mower. If your lawn has a few slopes, a side passage and some beds to work around, this is the Gardena we would look at first.

What the SILENO life adds over the minimo

The SILENO life is a bigger, heavier machine than the minimo, and the differences show up in the parts of the lawn that usually cause trouble. Here is how the two compare on Gardena’s own figures:

Feature SILENO minimo SILENO life 750
Maximum slope inside the lawn 25% 35%
Cutting width 16 cm 22 cm
Cutting system 1 blade disc with 3 blades 3 pivoting razor blades
Cutting height 20 to 45 mm 20 to 50 mm
Display and control panel No Yes
Alarm No Yes
Boundary wire in the box 150 m 200 m

The rest carries over from the minimo. CorridorCut guides it through gaps of 60 cm between wires. SensorControl adjusts how often it mows to how fast the grass is growing. Spot cutting runs a spiral over hard-to-reach areas, such as under a trampoline. A frost sensor pauses mowing near freezing, and you can clean it with a garden hose.

Gardena lists a Red Dot Design Award 2019 for this model, and rates its perceived sound level at 57 dB(A).

Is it right for your lawn?

Gardena says the life 750 needs about 11 hours of mowing and charging a day to cover a full 750 m². We recommend a mower whose capacity exceeds your lawn size, so if your lawn is close to 750 m², look at the Gardena SILENO life 1000. It shares the same body, blades and battery run time on Gardena’s spec sheets, with a higher area rating.

Slopes are the other reason to choose the life over the minimo. It handles up to 35% inside the mowing area, against 25% for the minimo. The limit along the boundary wire is still 10%, so steep banks at the edge need careful wire placement, which we plan at installation. For a large, open lawn, the SILENO life 1500 uses the same platform with a 1 500 m² rating.

Remember that the app works over Bluetooth® within about 10 metres. You can schedule and adjust it from your phone in the garden, or on the mower’s own panel, but not from across town. If remote access matters to you, compare all our robotic mowers before deciding.

Frequently asked questions

What size lawn suits the Gardena SILENO life 750?

Gardena rates it for lawns of up to 750 m², with about 11 hours of mowing and charging a day needed to cover the full area. If your lawn is close to 750 m², the SILENO life 1000 gives you more headroom.

What does the SILENO life have that the SILENO minimo does not?

A built-in display and control panel, an alarm, a wider 22 cm cut with 3 pivoting razor blades, a cutting height of up to 50 mm, and the ability to handle slopes of up to 35% inside the lawn, against 25% for the minimo.

Can the SILENO life 750 get through a narrow side passage?

Yes, if the passage leaves at least 60 cm between the boundary wires. Gardena’s CorridorCut guides the mower through corridors that narrow and back out of dead ends.

How long does the SILENO life 750 mow on one charge?

Gardena gives a typical mowing time of 65 minutes per charge and a typical charging time of 60 minutes. It returns to its charging station and charges automatically.

Does the SILENO life 750 have theft protection?

It has a PIN code and an alarm, and lift sensors stop the blades immediately if the mower is picked up.
